2-1-10 - Client Newsletter PDF print email
February 1st, 2010 Newsletter

Hard to believe that January is already done and we are into February! We have a number of large projects on the go for new clients as well as some smaller ones for some old friends. We have a few team members who will be taking some much needed holidays the beginning of February, and as such we will be slowing things down for a few weeks. I am one of the people who will be away, but not to worry - we will have support personal on-call to handle any emergencies until I return. If something does come up, do not hesitate to email me. I will return your email upon my return.

This newsletter will touch on the following topics:

  • New Support Tutorials
  • Seasonal Themes
  • Client Spotlight

New Support Tutorials

We are constantly adding to our FAQ section as we receive questions from our clients. The latest additions are:

Seasonal Themes

We get a number of questions from clients about making seasonal changes to their websites to help keep things fresh (without making major changes). If you visited our website between the end of November and the end of December, you may have noticed that it was snowing on the main page! One of the great things about using a template driven CMS system like Joomla is that we can quickly and easily make minor changes to the entire site (like adding seasonal touches). Does this impact the usability of your website - no, but it does add a bit of novelty for your customers/clients.

Have a season or event that you would like to have represented on your website?  Contact us to find out how easy it is to do.

Client Spotlight

From time to time we like to spotlight one of our clients websites. We hope that you take a few minutes out of your busy day to check out not only the services that they offer, but also their website features and design (you may get ideas that you would like to use on your website).

A local Real Estate Agent - Jim Archer (jimarcher.ca) came to use before Christmas and asked us to take over hosting his websites and get them cleaned up. The result was this custom theme and new listing functionality for his properties.

Here is a preview of what his site looks like:
